About Risen Life Church
Pastors Rob and Dee were sent out from Christian Family Church Johannesburg, our mother church, and established this ministry in April 2000 under their leadership and covering. What began as a humble gathering of just eight people under a tree in their front garden has since grown into a thriving and impactful church community.
Pastor Rob carries a strong and evident calling in two key areas: evangelism and pastoral care. He has a deep passion for reaching the lost and a genuine love for shepherding people, guiding them in their faith journey. His heart for people extends far beyond the walls of the church, so much so that many across Cape Town affectionately know him simply as “Pastor,” even if they have never attended a service in person.
He firmly believes in taking the church to the people, meeting them where they are. Pastor Rob regularly makes himself available to minister in workplaces, encouraging and uplifting staff, and he actively serves within local police stations and traffic departments across the city. Through this vision, the church continues to impact lives, bringing hope, faith, and community to all it reaches.
